Broad Arrow moves to The Quail

To no-one’s great surprise – speculation had been mounting throughout Rétromobile week – this August the Hagerty-owned firm will take over the spot recently vacated by Bonhams as official auction partner of The Quail, A Motorsports Gathering.

Broad Arrow and Hagerty retain their association with Motorlux, the Wednesday evening party held at the Monterey Jet Center. But their auction will take place at The Quail on Carmel Valley Road over two days, 13-14 August 2026. The Jet Center location was always a nightmare to get to on party night and attendance on Thursday is best described as ‘for determined bidders only’. The Pebble Tour takes place on Thursday so the new location will make it easier for would-be buyers to call in while in the area. 

Bonhams announced it will relocate to Laguna Seca for a Thursday slot last week. So a potential schedule for this year’s Monterey Car Week sales could be:

Thursday 13 August. Broad Arrow, Bonhams, RM Sotheby’s (possible).
Friday 14 August. Broad Arrow, Gooding Christie’s, RM Sotheby’s.
Saturday 15 August. Gooding Christie’s, RM Sotheby’s.
