‘Fast & Furious’ Nissan Skyline R34 GT-R sells for $1.357m

A Nissan Skyline built to a precise specification set out by the late action movie star Paul Walker has been sold via an online auction conducted by Bonhams. The car featured on screen in Walker’s last-but-one appearance in the Fast & Furious car chase film franchise.

The winning bidder paid $1,357,000 for the 2000 machine “uniquely customised by Daryl Alison of Kaizo Industries to Paul Walker’s personal specification”. It is a new auction world record for a Nissan Skyline GT-R, a favourite of the burgeoning JDM (Japanese Domestic Market) scene.

In August 2022, Mecum sold a 2001 Nissan Skyline R34 GT-R V-Spec II for $577,500. RM sold a similar, 2002 car with a tuned engine for £224,250 in London in November 2022. All prices gross.

Bonhams’ example was bought by a private collector.
