Maserati joins the certification set

Maserati joins the certification set 31st December 2021

The house of the Trident announced just before Christmas that it, too, would offer official certification of its historic (generally over 20 years old) models via a new set-up, Maserati Classiche.

The first road car to receive the Maserati certification of authenticity was a Mistral 3700. To start, the process is more one of checking originality – “guaranteed by a committee of experts” – and sourcing period paperwork. Later in 2022 a full parts, servicing and restoration operation will be introduced.

While the service is aimed at 1960s and ’70s icons such as the Ghibli, recent limited editions such as the MC12 and variations on the ‘new’ Quattroporte will also be looked after.
