Video: Tony Dron drives the Ferrari Dino 246S to victory at Goodwood

Enjoy a masterclass in how to drive one of the finest-handling front-engined Ferrari sports cars at the 2003 Goodwood Revival.

The car was one of Tony’s favourites and he ended up with three Sussex Trophy wins to his credit. His usual rivals were Peter Hardman, seen here in the Le Mans-winning Aston Martin DBR1, or Win Percy driving a Jaguar D-type. All three were top-class drivers, but Tony was able to extract the last ounce out of the delicate Dino and despite losing places when the flag dropped, generally came out on top, making the most of the Ferrari’s sublime handling and just-powerful-enough V6 engine.
