And the winner is… Alfa Romeo Giulietta SS Prototipo scoops best of Show at Villa d’Este 2017 29th May 2017

Italian arch-enthusiast Corrado Lopresto added another cup to his collection, when the Best of Show award at this year’s Concorso at Villa d’Este went to his 1957 prototype Giulietta SS. Perhaps the Milanese architect should design a new trophy cabinet to hold them all…

In addition to the top award given by the Jury, the small Franco Scaglione-designed coupé also won the Trofeo BMW Group Italia, a prize given to the car gaining the most votes from the public on the Sunday open day at Villa Erba.

The famous Coppa d’Oro Villa d’Este was taken by the small record-breaker, the 1935 Lurani Nibbio, a car owned by Federico Göttsche Bebert, also from Italy.
