Hitting the track: The 2018 Rolex Monterey Motorsports Reunion

When you’ve spent two or three days in the auction tents or on the concours field, what better way of clearing the cobwebs than a few hours at The Track – that’s the WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca, only 30 minutes from Carmel.
As always, visitors from across the Pond are treated to a selection of cars rarely seen in Europe. This year, it was the Can-Am and Trans-Am machinery that took centre stage but other racers that captured our interest were the pre-War and early post-War cars, including Peter Mullin’s 1950 Talbot T26C driven by Hans Hugenholtz (top), and the Porsche 935s and BMW CSLs of the IMSA and FIA Gp. 5 era.
We bring you a flavour of a hot morning in the dry desert hills of Laguna Seca.
