Stonor Supercar Sunday: 20 May 2018

Stonor Supercar Sunday: 20 May 2018 3rd May 2018

Rather than the measured clip of hooves and gravelly crunch of a four-in-hand carriage, the historic 13th Century grounds of Stonor Park will echo to a different type of horsepower later this month, when supercars and significant classics roll in for Stonor Supercar Sunday.

The event is the brainchild of William Stonor and he and his events team are expecting a bumper crop of supercars, which they define as "special cars ranging from pioneering race cars, to classic sports cars, to modern hypercars".

Stonor Park is set in rolling English countryside, about four miles north of Henley-on-Thames. It’s a well-known film location, made famous in The Living Daylights. Pre-1966 cars can park in the adjacent Classic Car Paddock and the idea is to make it a great family day with picnics in the park, upmarket street food and the Stonor Park adventure playground for fractious children worn out by looking at “Just one more old car, darling…”

There might just be time to ask for your supercar to be considered for the Supercar Paddock, where owners receive entry for two to the Owners’ Enclosure and Pol Roger Champagne Bar plus a special Stonor Supercar Sunday window sticker and goody bag. The Supercar of the Show will win a bottle of Pol Roger Cuvée Sir Winston Churchill vintage champagne.

It all sounds like a great day out and, even better, it supports The Royal Navy and Royal Marines Children’s Fund charity. Tickets are just £18.00 adults, £12.00 children (2-15) with a discount for early-bird booking. Stonor season-ticket holders have free entry.

We will be there. For further information, visit www.stonor.com/supercarsunday
